Walking is a new immersive piece that Missing Pages Theatre are currently creating.
It is inspired by the book Walking by the Norwegian explorer and author Erling Kagge, and several other sources. It will use performance, object animation, and paper collage to ask questions that resonate with many of us - why do we feel joy and freedom when walking?
Is the ability to walk the main thing that defines us as humans?
Are pain and struggle important in life?
How do we learn to appreciate small things?
How do we change when we leave our daily chores behind and go out walking?
It will be a participatory event, where audiences can make their own collages, draw a map or write a diary entry.
Collage animation workshops will be part of the project. In these workshops, participants will explore their own relationship to nature and their surroundings using paper, scissors and magazines.
